Severe weather causes delays at Portuguese ports

 Due to the adverse weather conditions recorded in recent days, namely rough sea conditions and strong winds, operational constraints have been affecting the main Portuguese ports.

These conditions directly impact the safety of berthing operations, leading port authorities to delay or restrict the entry of cargo vessels. As a result, delays in the loading and unloading of cargo may occur, as well as impacts on initially scheduled timelines for certain logistics processes.

It is important to note that these delays are entirely beyond the control of logistics operators, resulting from operational and safety decisions taken by port authorities in order to ensure the safety of people, vessels and cargo.
