The national strike by port administration officials is causing serious constraints on the operation of ports across the country, jeopardizing the export and import of raw materials and finished products.
Seven entities, the Business Association of Portugal (AEP), the Port Community of Leixões, the Commercial Association of Porto, the Association of Navigation Agents of Portugal, the National Association of Port Terminal Concessionaires, the Association of Forwarders of Portugal and the Association of Port Operators of Leixões sent this Thursday a letter to the Government alerting “to the damage that the national strike of the employees of the port administrations is causing in the companies and in the economy”.
WLP is in direct and permanent contact with its suppliers and partners, monitoring the evolution of the situation and looking for ways to minimize the impacts resulting from this stoppage for its customers.
