Predicted shutdown of economic activity in China caused by New Year’s celebrations

News

Chinese New Year (Year of the Rabbit) is celebrated on January 22nd. It is the most important annual event in the People’s Republic of China. Its celebrations usually cause a stoppage of almost all economic activity in the country.

This stoppage is expected to take place between the 21st and 27th of January, however the vast majority of companies interrupt their activity one or more weeks in advance.

The WLP team is permanently following up and monitoring this situation in order to mitigate any possible impacts on its customers.
