The Port of Leixões is the first Portuguese port to obtain ISO 28000 Certification
By obtaining ISO 28000 Certification, the Port of Leixões confirms its commitment to quality and safety, in its operations, towards its customers and partners.
“… The implementation of the ISO 28000 standard – Supply Chain Security – has as its primary objective: to establish, implement and improve levels of security and protection in operations, improve security conditions in the logistics chain, guarantee the necessary skills to the performance of operational functions, ensure compliance with the established security policy and demonstrate this compliance with third parties.
It streamlines and improves the relationship and transmission of information between all the stakeholders in the Supply Chain, a fact that is reflected in the Port’s operability.
In addition to a commitment to safety and quality towards its customers and partners, this certification reinforces APDL’s institutional image and confirms its commitment to staying up-to-date and relevant in a constantly changing market.
